Our founder, Shri. V. K. Arumugam., had a vision, a dream that Homoeopathy should reach the masses and be approachable to the sick and needy. Thus, he started Venkateswara Homoeopathic Dispensary in the year 1995 in Porur, Chennai. True to his philanthrophic attitude, he then charged a meager fee of just Rs. 5/- towards both consultation and medicines.

Under our Founder’s guidance, with the blessings of Homoeopathic Stalwarts and able-handedness of efficient doctors, patients flocked from far and near and started benefitting immensely from our safe and gentle treatment. The concerned and empathetic doctors, immediate improvement and quick results and absence of side effects won the heart of the public. Patient were even referred to us from nearby districts seeking treatment. This dispensary was further expanded and more units were added and now functions as the Out-Patient Department(OPD) of Venkateswara Homoeopathic Medical College & Hospital.

Now, our Out-Patient Department has become a household name in Homoeopathy. We attend to more than 300 patients per day. Our expertise is sought in both acute diseases like fever or severe pain and in all kinds of chronic diseases.

Thus, our Out-Patient Department is our pride and the most valuable learning experience for our interns and budding homoeopathic doctors. It boosts their confidence and belief in our system and instills the spirit of homoeopathy in our students.
